Manalapan Florida is an ultra exclusive community in Palm Beach County on Hypoluxo Island. This area is known as Point Manalapan. Whenever we take coastal drives we just love driving through Manalapan. 
We love to admire the hundred year old trees that form an arch over the coastal highway which provides the perfect amount of shade needed to really soak in the beauty of the ocean and the homes along this route. It reminds me of Old Florida.
Manalapan is at the southern third of Hypoluxo Island and is famous all over the world for a high end destination.
The town is so small yet it is lined with million dollar water views that you will just exclaim, "AH", as you drive through this town.
To get to Manalapan Point you need to head east on Lantana Road across A1A. When you get to the middle of the Intracoastal bridge go south which takes you to Hypoluxo Island and then you will see Manalapan Point. The road is open to the public but they will record your license plate before you drive through.
Manalapan Point is 70 acres and has 145 homes. This is about half of the town of Manalapan. There is the town of Manalapan and within that town is Manalapan Point.
There are 11 police officers that serve in the town of Manalapan and about 360 full time residents. It is definitely a safe place to live with major security as the officers don't have much to do except to keep an eye on the homes while the seasonal residents are away. It is very laid back, not stuffy. If you like luxury but are down to earth; you will feel right at home here.
Every single home is on the water except for 17 lots. Some of the docks are truly amazing. You can have your boat docked right at your own privately owned dock outside of your home. Most everyone can walk to the town library. The residents of Manalapan have exclusive memberships to the Ritz Carlton La Coquille Club complete with men and women's fitness centers, tennis courts, meeting rooms, heated salt water pool overlooking the ocean and a lot more. The Ritz Carlton is right down the road across the bridge in Lantana. The Ritz Carlton is an ocean front resort hotel on 7 acres.
Out of the 145 homes there are only 16 for sale. The average price of the sold homes last year was $2.05 Million.
Prices start at just over $1 Million and run up to about $ 6 Million. There are a few homes that are upwards to $15 million. The homes run from about 3000 square feet to over 6000 square feet.
Last year in 2008; 9 homes sold. The lowest price sold was $1,250,000 and the highest price sold was $4,663,000.
