Aeronautical Lifestyle Information for the Upscale Exclusive Aero Club of Wellington Florida.

There are 284 custom built homes in the Areo Club community built on at least one acre lots. Many of the homes are on the taxi way. The homes have a minimum of 3000 square feet under air and up to 8000 square feet of living space. Here in Florida we consider living space the air conditioned part of the home. If you are looking to live in an Aeronautical community in South Florida, the Aero Club in Wellington Florida is just 14 miles from Palm Beach Florida. You can be at the beach in a jiffy and back home to fly out in the morning to a trip to Miami or to Disneyworld.

There is a 4,000 foot irrigated runway that is turfed and lighted and is 110 feet wide. The blue lights at night are so beautiful and soothing to watch. We love driving by and just stopping to observe the true beauty of the runway and the surrounding homes. The identifier is FD38 and it is a private airport for single engine planes.

Not all the homes are along the taxiway and not all the homes have hangers. The Equestrian community is right next door so there are equestian people who live in the Aero Club although there are no stalls or barns in this community. The homes that are along the taxiway are listed with a premium and so are the hangers depending on the condition. This is a very new community with most homes having been built in the late 90's to the early 2000's. There are people living here who are pilots and love to fly and there are people living here that just enjoy the acre of land and the customization of each home. The Aero Club in Wellington Florida is an aeronautical subdivision that is upscale and very desirable for those who are aeronautical enthusiasts as well as those who are afraid to even get in a plane. There is something alluring and romantic watching the flight of these small places that barely make a sound. They land softly on a turfed runway and most then taxi right into their hangers at their homes.

There are 284 custom built homes each sitting on one acre or more of land. The subdivision is not gated in order to have it blend with the community of Wellington where friendly people live and play together. Stay tuned as I am posting more about this fabulous area and a video tour of the area.

Currently there are 22 homes for sale in the Aero Club of Wellington subdivision. The lowest priced home for sale at this time is $719,000 on Take Off Place. It is one of the smaller homes that was built before the Architectural review board became very strict with their minimum size to build.

The highest priced home is right on the taxi way and is listed for $3,500,000 and boasts over 8,000 square feet of living area. In Florida we consider living area as all the air conditioned space. So this square footage is not the hanger or the garage, porch or patio. The hanger with this home is over 2,700 square feet. You can see the runway right outside of your property lines. What a view!

Since last September 10 homes have sold in the Aero Club in Wellington Florida. The lowest priced sale was $715,000 and they were asking $749,000. But most of them sold in the $900,000 to the lower 1 millions. The highest sold was listed at $1,849,000 and sold for $1,300,000. This was a stunning home.

What does Active Rain, CSI Miami, Mansions and Airplanes Have in Common? Nestor Gasset and Katerina Gasset sell the CSI Miami Mansion in the Aeronautical community of Aero Club in Wellington Florida as a result of a post that they wrote about the Areo Club on Active Rain!

The Wellington Florida CSI mansion was listed for sale and through Active Rain we found the buyer for that spectacular mansion on a lush green runway in the aeronautical community called Aero Club in Wellington Florida. The owner of the home, Sal is the builder of this absolutely stunning home. He and his wife and child have been enjoying the fun and excitement that goes with having your house in a movie or tv show. One day his wife was at home making lunch when there was a knock on her door. The lady who was at the door began to tell Monica (Sal's wife) that they should be prepared for some noise because CSI Miami was there to film an episode and they had chosen this street. There was a vacant lot next door which they were using to host all their trucks, camera equipment, tents and movie props. Since Monica was in the middle of cooking she invited the lady into the house so she could get the food off the stove.

When the lady walked into the house she just about fell over because this home is really a showplace. She told Monica that she loved her house and wanted to know if they would be interested in renting it out to CSI MIAMI. This was an exciting proposition. Monica called Sal and they agreed to rent their house out. The scenes in front of the mansion you will see in the movie clip are filmed in front of Sal and Monica's house.

Monica is quite the social butterfly and soon all her friends were over at the house watching the filming of CSI MIAMI. There is a scene around their pool and patio that we have a link to at the end of this story. What a fun event this was in the life of a family right here in Wellington Florida.

Celebrate the power of Active Rain. Celebrate the opportunity we all have here on Active Rain. It is not Raining with closings, it is pouring! 

We just closed on a house for $1,300,000. We are listing agents and refer buyers to our new buyer agent. But right before we hired Doug to be our buyers' agent, we received a call from a buyer who was looking for an aeronautical community. 

He just told us today that he had called several agents but that not one of them called him back, well, no  one except for us! You snooze, you lose. He found us on Active Rain when he did his search for aeronautical communities ( where of course our Active Rain post shows up on page 1 in #3 spot, with only the community website above our post!) and then went to our website.

Nestor knew exactly what he was looking for because he keeps on top of the market in Palm Beach County. We closed on this house today, all cash for a very good price. The seller and buyer are both happy. Now the house we sold is in and of itself a great story which I will be post about next week! You will not want to miss it!

The house our buyer bought is right on the beautiful turf taxiway. He flew in this morning right before closing from Tampa Florida. Nestor picked him up at the house out on the taxiway and drove him to the closing. How fun is that! You just fly in, sign your closing papers and fly back in time for dinner!  No traffic to deal with and no hassles on the road!

Active Rain will bring you business if you blog consistantly and show your personality. Here is yet another post about the power of Active Rain and the quality of the customers that it brings into our business and friends it brings into our lives.

I wrote a post about the Aero Club in Wellington Florida which is a very unique aeronautical community complete with hangers with some of the homes being right along the grassy runway. This community is home to airplane owners and also those who like to have a luxury home on an acre of land. You do not have to own a plane to enjoy living here. The Aero Club is bordered by wonderful equestrian ranches with lots of open fields, horses and exciting equestrian events.


That post I wrote had a link to our website. That post also ranks on the first page for the Aero Club community on Google so it shows up in the searches for those looking for Aeronautical communities.






Well, last month I received a call from a buyer who was looking for an Aeronautical community where he could have his plane with him and live in a very luxurious home on the runway. The great thing about working on a team in our business is that if the person is going to get along better with Nestor, he will work with them. If I am a better match than I will work with the customer. This buyer found us because of this post I had written and then clicked to our website and from there, called us. I felt that Nestor would be the better match after I did the qualification interview.


Nestor did all his research and since we know our area very well he was able to put together all the properties that would fit this buyer's criteria. He was able to narrow it down to just a few properties by listening to the needs of his customer.


The buyer flew in with his plane and put an offer in on a great luxury home that is well over $1.5 million with a quick closing.


Congrats to Nestor for connecting with this buyer and Kudos to Active Rain for giving us the platform to blog and attract luxury home buyers for properties in Wellington Florida. One of the things that I just love about luxury home buyers is that they tend to be very decisive and know what they want. The other part of this story is that the seller is not only paying us our full fee but is adding a nice bonus on top of our commission. The seller is happy that Nestor was knowledgable, courteous, professional and brought him a buyer.


Now this is not the end of the story. Because of meeting the seller of this property we just made some more great connections. Nestor was invited to lunch with them and met the Airplane sales person who in turn introduced Nestor to some other people in the Aero Club who want to sell and some who want to buy short sales in this area.


I do not buy any one's story that Active Rain does not work. It does; but you have to learn how to work in the Rain! If something is holding you back from blogging in the rain read this post. You will get much better quality of people to work with than you will from any other form of marketing.

15885 Boeing Court Sold for $2,050,000 on September 6, 2007. It was listed at $ 2,299,000 and was on the market for 65 days.

15355 De Havilland Ct is pending sale and is scheduled to close next month. It is listed at $ 1,629,000 and was on the market for 36 days.
