Wellington Florida News- Wellington High School Ranks Among America's Best Schools
Newsweek magazine ranked Wellington High School based on how high the students ranked on Advanced Placement and College placement tests. Wellington High School ranked in the top six percent our of all the public high schools in the United States.
Wellington High School was ranked number 842 and was one of 11 Palm Beach County high schools to receive this recognition.
The Principal at Wellington High School said that this year it is going to be even higher. The score is based on taking the toal number of Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate or Cambridge tests given at each school each year and dividing it by the number of Seniors to graduate. He also gave credit in an email to Junior High and Elementary teachers who helped make this possible.
Dreyfoos School of the Arts, Boca Raton, Suncoast and Atlantic High Schools achieved places in the top 100. There are over 27,000 U.S. public high schools achieved the index according to Newsweek magazine.
