Travels in Real Estate- College Station, San Antonio and Austin Texas

A few years ago an Active Rain friend, Stephanie Edwards Musa challenged us to do a Travels In Real Estate Series. It was really fun and we all learned from different ways in which we see new places or old places that we have traveled to or lived in.

When we went to Austin for the Traffic, SEO and Conversion summit we made time to also see some of our children who are mostly grown up.

We flew into Austin and rented a car to get set for all the driving we were planning on while in Texas. We have a daughter who lives in Austin, another daughter who lives in San Antonio and a son who is going to Blinn in College Station. Our daughter who lives in San Antonio was our kid sitter for our little 8 year old son while we were in the conference for 3 of those days. So we had to pick her up in time for the conference.

This was not the first time that our son had been to Texas because we have been there often and Nestor is also a licensed Realtor in Texas and worked there  for years before he moved here. But our son did not remember all the other trips there as he was very small. This was really the first time he saw hills. The only hills we have around here are the land fills. LOL!

We drove from Austin to College Station. We wanted some great Mexican food like only Texans know how to prepare- we have not had a homemade tortilla in a long time! YUMMY!
Then the next day we took our eight year old over to the Bush Library. I am going to write a post all about the library. It was much better than I had expected. Our son did not want to leave.

After that we drove back to Austin to get set up for the conference. A couple hours later it was off to get our daughter in San Antonio. That was some driving! Nestor drove all but about 20 minutes.

Then we drove back to Austin. The Traffic, SEO and conversion summit was the best internet marketing conference we have ever been to.

The next day our daughter who lives in Austin came over for dinner and to spend the day with her siblings while we were in sessions at the conference.

Altogether Nestor and I have 9 children. I have given birth to 6 of them. Nestor had 3 children before he met me and I had 5. We have one miracle child together who was born when I was 44 years old. All the other 5 children were born before I was 30 years old.

Nothing like doing business and still being able to be with your family. That is the best part of being an entrepreneur. I can not even imagine ever leaving my children to go to work outside of the home. Even when we had businesses like our Tae Kwon Do schools it was always a family affair.
