Habitat For Humanity & Day Of Service= New Homes Built in Jupiter Florida

Habitat for Humanity and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints teamed up together for the Day of Service project and set out to build new homes for people in the Jupiter Florida community.

There were thousands of church members and also community volunteers who were able to put in a great days of service  helping their community and fellow residents of Jupiter Florida. They added roofs, built the insides of the homes, planted the sod, put in the electricty and plumbing. The list goes on and on.

Below is a video that is posted on our Day of Service Youtube Page.

Feel free to browse through the different videos to find the service project that was rendered in your town and state.

When you feel like things are tough, reach out your hand to another and your burdens will seem light. Look around to see who may need your help.

Hi Katerina,

A few years back, my brokerage sponsored a whole house built through the Habitat. Spending two days was a hugely rewarding experience.  We also sponsored a ribbon cutting ceremony when the home was finished, so we were able to meet the family (with eight children, if I remember correctly).

Hi Katerina,

Whenever I learn that my clients are remodeling their homes, I suggest that they call Habitat to pick up their cabinets, appliances and fixtures.  They get a tax write off and are doing something good for the community.

Your post depicts that it is fulfilling having the spirit of love and compassion.

Great post Katerina! I have fond memories of my experience working on a Habitat home. We were tearing down an unsafe garage made of cinderblocks in Baltimore so to say it was hard work would be an understatement.....but it really was fun!

Hi Katerina - I spent Wednesday this week working on a Habbitat home.  Painted trim and came home covered with paint.  It was a very satisfying days work.
