In spite of all the rain, we still had our yearly 4th of July fireworks display here in Wellington, Florida!
It rained all day until my 4 year old son went over to the patio door, looked up in the sky, and said,
"Jesus, please make it stop raining so we can go and see the fireworks." Ah! The faith of a child!
It stopped raining about an hour after that. Here are some photos of our wet and soggy field at the Wellington Recreation Center Pierson Park.
The kids were playing in all the puddles, some of those puddles were really deep! Simple things in life make kids happy, don't they?
Here are the adults heading on over to the concession stand to grab a bite to eat.
We are proud to be Americans. We are so blessed to live in this free country where we take so much for granted.
God Bless America, Always! Thank you to our service men and women serving our country everywhere!
The fireworks went off without a glitch. My son was in awe as he watched them right before his eyes. He was amazed at how high they go. The show went on for a good 30 minutes. It was not crowded at all because I think most people did not want to go out in the wet and soggy fields. The rain was a blessing because we are having a drought but also because it cools the air down from all the heat of the day here in Florida!
Happy 4ht of July weekend to everyone!

welcome to the Rain Nestor and Katerina...
Wellington is a beautiful place to live...
it has all of the spunk of South Florida and the mature trees and feel of Central Florida.
