Aeronautical Fly-In Lifestyle- Wellington Florida Makes The Grade!
Fly in to Wellington Florida's Aero Club with your single engine Cessna or Viper for the day and we will pick you up for a tour of the Aero Club homes for sale in Wellington Florida. If you would like to tour some of the Aero Club community I posted a video of the area below.
Here in the Aero Club of Wellington- a premier Airpark Fly In community you can have the best of all worlds- the beach is only 14 miles away, Worth Avenue is less than 13 miles away and you are right in the middle of the Wellington Fl Polo and Equestrian communities. There is something alluring and romantic watching the flight of these small places that barely make a sound. They land softly on a turfed runway and most then taxi right into their hangars at their homes.
Fly right in, the weather's great for landing on the turf runway which is lighted with soothing blue lights and is 4000 feet by 110 feet. We like to walk by in the evenings to enjoy the blue lights.
The assigned CTAF/UNICOM frequency is 122.85 MHz. This airport is unmonitored for airport advisories. Make sure to check the weather before flying! Safety First!
Use PCL Frequency 118.5 during the daylight. During the day and night, 3 clicks turns off the sprinklers. At night 3 clicks turns on the lights. As a courtesy the private airpark at Wellington Aero Club asks that you please click 3 times after takeoff or landing to turn the sprinklers back on.
Wellington Florida's airpark community is located ten minutes from West Palm Beach Florida. You can buy fuel at the club in the Aero Club of Wellington.
The Wellington Aero Club hosts many fly-outs, Sunday night socials, parties and their annual Barnstormer Barbeque which is loads of fun!
Here you see chairs and benches in back yards where watching the planes take off and land is a great past time. Imagine sitting in our beautiful weather soaking up tropical sunshine with a kiss of shade enjoying the breeze and the planes.
You will find homes from 3000 square feet under air to 8000 square feet under air. The minimum square footage requirement for the Aero Club is 3000 square feet and every home in the Aero Club had to be approved by the HOA architectural review board.
If you plan to fly in to Wellington Florida's Aero Club a private Aeronautical Community please be cautious of birds. The birds have been seen roosting around the Aero Club. The migrating birds from the North make their homes here in the South each winter. Sometimes you will see the birds walking right on the runway and taxiway. Come fly with us here in the Aero Club of Wellington Florida.

I am afraid of heights and terrified of flying in a small plane but your pictures make it look like great fun.
Katerina, living in an air park looks amazingly cool! Oh, but small plane totally terrify me!
Katerina,
You know of course that the old (stright tailed) Cessna 206 amphibian is registered in Canada. A fly in second home, wow!
Bill
katerina,
We have a similar community - Spruce Creek Fly-In. Really very cool. Patricia is afraid of small planes, how funny. She should have visite Spruce Creek Fly-In when Travolta lived there, and Travolta had a huge plane (and that's why he had to leave).
Great video and pictures, enjoyed it. It is an unusual combination, house and a plane
Katerina, What a cool community the Aero Club is! I'd be fascinated walking and watching the planes come in.
katerina, it really looks like a great place to live. You did a super job on the pictures.
Nested in Northeast Florida, a few miles south of Daytona Beach and NASCAR's epicenter, the Daytona International Speedway, lies one of the most unique residential communities in the world.
The Spruce Creek Fly-in Community is the world's most famous residential airpark. With a 4,000 ft lighted runway and a GPS approach, the private airport at the center of the community can accommodate anything from a Stearman to a Gulfstream.
Originally a navy airfield during WWII, it evolved into the world's largest residential fly-in community. Today, almost 5,000 residents, 1,300 homes and 700 hangars share a unique life in this private gated village with immaculately groomed homes and common grounds. The first thing a visitor sees after driving through the security gates is a sign that summarizes the spirit of this community: “CAUTION Children and Adults at Play”. Truly a piece of pilot's heaven.
A championship golf course and Country Club and 24-hr patrolled security complements the safety, privacy and enjoyment of the residents. Frequent community-wide events and social clubs for most any interest from flying to book reading and gardening ensure a tightly knit and friendly community hard to duplicate anywhere. John Travolta and many other celebrities have enjoyed the Spruce Creek Fly-In lifestyle and privacy. Current home prices vary from a $165,000 condo to several million dollar hangar mansions.
Please keep in mind that any visits are by invitation only, as the community is not open to the public. If you are interested in Spruce Creek Real Estate, contact the folks at Karlhaus Realty for an invitation and they will happily schedule a guided tour: Spruce Creek Real Estate
