VillageWalk is a gated community. Most of the homes have lake views. Each street ends in a culdesac with large green spaces between each street. Water is in the center of each section. This gives the visual of plenty of space between neighbors.
Here is a sample of the side yard of many of the homes. These homes are single family attached. We do not call them duplexes in Wellington. Two homes connect in the center. Each unit is owned with individual deeds.
Now what I really love about this community is that you can walk to Town Center from most anywhere in the community over these romantic bridges just as you see in Europe. There are benches around in all the green spaces. Here are some beautiful photos of a few of the bridges. The homes you see next to the bridge is a small estate section of larger homes in the 500k to 600k range.

I am a free spirit and like where I live. We have no HOA in Sugar Pond Manor in Wellington Florida. We have no gates. It is a hometown neighborhood and the Village of Wellington has a very good code enforcement that is good enough for me. I like to fly my American Flag when I want to. As a Real Estate Agent I like to be able to have my sign on my listings. Most of the HOA communities here do not allow Real Estate Signs. I believe in Free Speech signs as well. I homeschool my kids because I do not like the agenda being promoted in public schools as well as other things, I am conservative yet not politically correct. Thanks for the comment. We also have an area where you can live in the next town over that is called Loxahatchee that has no HOA and very little code enforcement. Now that is a little too extreme for me over there. Katerina
Katerina, it is always nice talking to you. You are very "real" and unaffected. I was just teasing. Your comments about signs and flags is so fundamental I wouldn't want to live where my "speech" was restricted either.
That said I wouldn't want to live where people painted their houses brighr colors or parked on the lawn (or where the lawn should be) either.
