The International Polo Club Palm Beach here in Wellington Florida hosted the American Rules Tourney which is growing in popularity. It is a bit different than back yard Croquet and uses six wickets instead of nine. It requires skill such as you use in chess for strategic planning and physical interaction such as you would use in Billiards.
The Croquet courts at the International Polo Club Palm Beach in Wellington overlooks the magnificent Polo fields and are laser leveled for the best of playing. John Osborne is the lowest handicapped American Rules player at -2.5. John also teaches Croquet at the Polo club and also at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach. (The Trump Mansion).
