The grand opening will be this Saturday November 17, 2007 and it will be highlighted with the Boys and Girls Club of Wellington's benefit Golf tournament. If you are interested in playing in the Boys and Girls club tournament, there is still time to enter.
Binks Golf Course was originally designed by PGA Tour Professional Johnny Miller and Florida based golf course architect Gene Bates. The course first opened in 1990 and was ranked as one of the Top 75 Golf courses in the United States.
Now having been closed for more than five years and redesigned and all 18 holes have been redesigned and modernized by Gene Bates. Next year the country club will be remodeled and ready for your banquets, receptions and other events.
Binks Country Club is offering a limited number of memberships. There will special discounts for Wellington Residents and those residents living in the Binks developments.

This one was a set point for a developer that sold premium golf frontages only to have the course close and some new developer wanted to build condos on the golf course, well, the homeowners were infuriated and demanded the town do something and get the course back!
