One of the most frequently asked questions that I get is where do I get my clipart from. As new people join Active Rain this is usually one of the questions they have. I know that it was one of my questions when I first joined Active Rain.
After researching many terms of use agreements from many different clip art compares it was recommended by another blogger on Active Rain about 1 1/2 years ago to use Iclipart.
I used to spend hours searching online for just the right photo, get permission to use the photo or pay stockphotos for a photo. Well, the money adds up real fast when you are blogging as much as we blog.
It was a no brainer when I went to Iclipart. I did not even use the try it you'll like it trial. For less than $3.00 per month- well, do the math! It sure made blogging that much more fun and not as time consuming and even sparks posts to write just by looking at all their images. I am now on my second year subscription.
When Iclipart is on sale; you can not beat the price. Right now the subscription to Iclipart is only $29.99 for a year. That is less than $3.00 per month! If you are buying photo stock photos you are spending more than $3.00 a month.
Iclipart is also a great gift to give to your agents, high school and college students that are into graphic design and parents who do a lot of volunteering and need to create flyers and online announcements.

You need to make sure your read the terms of use from any clipart that you want to use. Most of them will say that it is free but only for personal use. Blogging on Active Rain is not considered personal use. Free can become very expensive if you violate the terms of use.
Christmas and other holiday clipart is really popular right now. Use Clip Art for all your projects- look no further! Iclipart is safe to use, read the terms of use and you will see that you can use if for commercial purposes.

There are over 7.8 million images, photos, sounds, buttons, patterns and more to use on this site. It is very easy, one click dowloads in a variety of sizes. Here is a sampling of some of the fun clipart you can use:

So if you are looking for cool and new clipart to use on your blog, websites and other places- check out Iclipart by clicking here now.

Disclosure: I am an affiliate of Iclipart which means a make four bucks to nine bucks if you click on the links in this post and end up buying a subscription to Iclipart via my link in this post. Someone got upset and had a hissy fit because they found out that I made a couple of dollars because I turned them on to Iclipart. So now when I talk about it, I make the disclosure.

Honestly the things that people get upset over!
I will check into this - I purchase an occasional photo from iStockPhoto.com but only rarely. I usually use Flickr.com's Creative Commons search making sure it's okay for commercial use. I also use a lot of my own photography though it's not as crisp looking as the stock photos.
Karen- Flickr creative commons license is great and you can surely use the photos. The only thing is the time it takes to find just the right photo. The way iclipart has their site organized it is a snap to find and retrieve a photo or an image. I like their cartoony type and their objects, like stop signs and all that. If I am looking for a telephone, I get a telephone. Simple.
Katerina - thanks for the tip on iClipart. This will be invaluable to anyone who wants to use graphics other than those they might create and their own photos. Sometimes a photo just won't do.
Jeff
Katerina- Don't you just hate hissy fits! They look ridiculous in kids, but even worse when adults throw them.
Katerina you are right, Flickr can be darn time consuming! LOL
Jeff- I love to use my own photos but many times I want to make a point and a photo just won't do. Thanks for the comment.
Matt- Yes, I do. I should add a donation box on my blog to really have then have a hissy fit! :)
Karen- Use Flickr for business! I am setting up some business applications on Flicr in Jan and the blog about it.
Katerina - I will probably sign up for this and sent myself this post so I can link to it if I do - I have no problem in your getting some $$$$$$$$ for providing me with valuable information. Thanks!
I have found Iclipart to have photos that are numerous, easy to download and easy to search. Can't beat it at $30/year!
Katerina - I love, love, love iclipart. It really is easy to use and usually has many choices available for whatever you are looking for. ~Rita
Katerina Iclipart is one of my favorite blogging tools. They have almost anything you would want and your can't beat the price.
Barbara-Jo- Thanks for your wonderful support. When people tell me about a great product they have found, I always ask them if they are an affiliate so they can get credit for telling me if they like the product. I love to use this clipart and have no way ever been disappointed with them.
Katerina, Had I only known you were an affiliate. Carolyn Starr told me about it and when I saw the price I signed up right away, so I can echo your sentiments. Iclipart is fantastic.
I typically use Flickr for blog photos, etc. Thanks for sharing your experience with Iclipart. I'll be sure to check them out!
Ron- Great price, great product, can't go wrongz! Thanks for sharing.
Hi Katerina - thanks for this tip, or the reminder of this. I think I remember you talking about quite some time ago. I'll go check it out. I usually use my own pictures, but you're right in that sometimes you just really want something specific that you don't have.
People and their hissy fits - they just should grow up.
Ann
Nester - Thanks for sharing. I'll have to check out iclipart. For $29.99 a year that seem like a good deal.
Ann- Well, there is always someone who wants to spoil the fun and gets off on being a cry baby. We are all here to make money and if they want to be public servants than that is their choice. Just because AR is free does not mean that we have to give it all away:) I lost 4 subscibers on the first post I wrote about IClipart. I don't even remember the lady's name who wrote a post in July of 2007 about IClipart. I used the link in her post hoping she would get an affiliate check for me signing up, because she told me about it! I did not even know her. I want everyone to make money.
Great information on the clip art...one that we will check out and use. Thanks.
Katerina - Great tip; I agree it is a steal! Thanks for sharing.
I havent used any clipart in my blogs because basically i didnt know where to go to get some. This is a great post, thanks for sharing something that has really been working for you.
hi, thanks for the post and clipart tips. Its something i can use in my posts.
Excellent suggestion! I was looking for a better clipart solution for my own blogging, just this morning.

Sounds like a great program. I will have to check this out. Thanks for sharing and Merry Christmas!
Thanks for the info. I had wondered where people got all the neat little pictures.
Allen- Yep, this is where many of them get their clipart from. I just love the convenience and quality.
Hi Katrina! Interesting that you did this post! I just 2 days ago noticed this link on your sidebar and checked it out and signed up for a year! It is just as you say OK for commercial use.
Thanks for sharing! I look forward to using iclickart.
Debbie
Thanks for sharing! I need clipart!
Wow thanks for sharing...copyright laws have left me terrified so my blogs are so bland. I am cheap when it comes to this kind of this so it sounds like the perfect fit for me. I will bookmark it and before to sign up via your links so you can get rich...lol.
This is for sure the cheapest way to entertain others and ourselves. Thank you.
Always a great resource and one of my favorite bloggers ... Thanks Again, this is a great tip and a good tool!
Thank you for the advice -- I'll check it out!
Patty Pugh, The Home Team at Keller Williams Realty, Dover, DE
Lisa- Thanks! I did not know I was one of your favorite bloggers:) I appreciate that a lot! I love Iclipart!
Mark and Patty- It is the best buy- I spend 29 per year and it goes a long way and is safe, they encourage commercial use! I like that! Their terms of use is very lenient! That is less than $2.50 per month! Just 2 photos from I Stock Photo would cost that much! Iclipart is unlimited use of over 7 million images that are like the ones above, photos, charecters, cartoony types, objects; you name it you will be able to find it on Iclipart.
Debbie- Thanks for getting Iclipart through my link on my sidebar! I appreciate that very much and I promise I won't be greedy with all the millions I make off of your click,LOL ( that was for the person who had a hissy fit by me putting that link on my blog:))
I absolutley think this is the deal of my year! I am going on my second year of buying Iclipart and am so pleased. Plus it is SOOOO easy to download the photos and now you get to choose different sizes to download so you don't have to do all that resizing! What a time saver!
If you ever meet any one who does the embroidery on jackets and hats and such; they have a lot of those digital embroidery clipart too! I just noticed that the last time I was searching for something in their vast library.
Christine- I will share my millions with you LOL!
Seriously though, the only reason I recommend Iclipart is because I use it and love it. This is my second year. I have never ever been dissappointed or let down by this company.
The copyright thing scares the heck out of me too so I read all the terms of service very closely and that is what I did with Iclipart. It is the best 29 bucks that I spend each year! Heck, that is cheaper than going out to dinner!
Danny- I don't know of any product that is this low in price that offers this much value. You are right, it is cheap entertainment.
Norma- Go for it. You will be so happy with all the time you save- just go to one place to get your clipart and objects. I never have to look outside of Iclipart anymore. Except of course for Localism photos that I take myself.
Thanks for the info> It is something I am not very good at but need to do more of. It makes such a huge impact.
Shelton
Shelton- Great, keep going. Keep it going and you will get there.
Hey, I downloaded Iclip Art and it is wonderful! Thanks for the tip. I have learned so much since I joined AR.
I'm curious about how you embed the links/codes that seem to dramatically increase the metatag/web-presence. Can anyone explain that concept? Thanks
Katrina, thanks for sharing. As usual you're a fountain of information and I'm thrilled that you get to benefit from the sharing and the giving, for a change. I definitely have no problem with that!
Debbie- Glad you like iclipart, I love it. I use it for everything! It is SO easy and fast too! oops, I just pressed the key that makes text large, now I can not turn it off!
Michael- Yes, just highlight your text you want to link to, click on the link on the edit tool bar and type in your url you want to send to.
Lora- Thanks! Thanks for reading and for your support:) Make it a fabulous weekend!
Thanks for the info. Now I need someone to help me navigate my computer so I can use it

Nestor & Katerina,
Thanks so much for this post. I plan to sign up, too. See you in the rain with clipart.
Mary
Mary- Welcome! Wait til you see the post I do this week with my favorite Irish Flair! Love the clipart! IT is SOOOO easy and fun to use, and SAFE!
Shelton- LOL! You will learn soon and faster than you ever thought possible.
I have always loved istockphoto but for that price I may just have to look into your suggestion. Thank you for the great blog tip on clip art.
Thanks for the suggestion....I am always taking way to much time to find pictures....and the great ones are pricey. I will check it out.
So for clarification, for the yearly membership, I can utilize it on blog posts/commercial use? If so, as it sounds thru out this blog, that is great. I just spent a fortune for two stock accounts. Are there panoramic shots available?
Thanks Katerina for recommending iclipart. I love it!
Mary
Heather- Yes, for the yearly membership you can utilize it on your blogs and sites. I use it all the time. I am not sure about panaramic views. I don't remember seeing any. They have over 7 million images. I paid over $600 for our logo a few years ago! If only I knew then what I know now:)
Hi Mary! Yep, I love Iclipart!
After a good time of searching the web for free sites and finding the results on free sites frustrating I decided to check our AR for a recommendation and what do I find recommended ... the site I picked on the web.
Now I know I'm making the right decision if the Gassets recommend it.
HI Mary's Thaks for the info - going to check it out..
Thanks again for all your great tips and tricks. Bookmarking this one!
Thanks,
Dixie
Thanks so much for the tip. I have been wondering who to use for my photos. I will definitely try them!
Finally! I've been looking for where to get clipart affordably.
Thank you.
Rita- Iclipart has the very best clip art, photos, objects, etc to use on your business blog! Love them, it makes it so easy and fast to get what I need!
I followed from your link in your latest blog post. Am I correct in assuming that I can use the clip art on this site without violating any laws for business use?
Yes, Damon. Read the terms of use, very generous. It is the only site that I can find where you are allowed to use it for commercial uses, just not reselling the clipart itself.
Cool! As soon as my blogging develops a little more I'm going to subscribe! thanks!
I will look into this... I find that the blogs are definately more interesting and professional with attractive and clear clip-art. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for the info.... I'm so tired of taking 20 minutes just to find a couple of pics that are free for commercial use. Sheesh... IClipart sounds like the way to go. Thanks.
Marisa- I never have to look for more than 2 minutes to find what I am looking for now and I don't have to ask permission!!! I love iclipart! Best expense we have each year:) besides our awesome staff.
I certainly have NO problem with you making a few dollars... I checked it out and see no option for $3.00 a month, what I see below
1-Week Single User Site License $12.95
1-Month Single User License $24.95
3-Months Single User License $34.95
1-Year Single User License $49.95
Subscription Plus: 1-Year Single User License $79.95
Professional Subscription: 1-Year Single User License $295.00 Click here for the iCLIPART + AniStock Bundle
Great suggestion - I am going to watch for your answer to Donna.
Donna and Joy- I wrote this post in 2008.
The prices have changed since then.
I pay about $64 a year so that must be on sale for the $49.95 a year price.
